The town of Jenner is located where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. Nearby, iconic Pacific Coast Highway intersects River Road which marks the gateway to the Russian River resort area. Jenner was once known as Rancho Muniz and a gated community to the north bears the name Muniz Ranches.
Jenner is well known as a place to witness beautiful sunsets and observe Pacific harbor seals that make a rookery of the sandy spit that separates the Russian River from the Pacific. Most homes and cottages in Jenner cling to the hills above Highway One and are accessed by narrow and winding roads. Visible from afar, the community is well known for the 93-foot-high "Peace Obelisk" sculpture on the grounds of the fabled Timber Cove Inn, a popular destination for tourists and Bay Area day-trippers. A wide variety of housing options exist from manufactured homes to multi-million dollar oceanfront estates for the town's population of less than 170 residents.
