FREESTONE
The hamlet of Freestone is located west of Sebastopol proper. It was once a stop on the railroad that connected Cazadero to Sausalito. The area was part of the Rancho Cañada de Jonive established by James Black through a Mexican land grant from Governor Pío Pico in 1845.
